    Hawk HPS Grinding/Squeal "Review"

I know its fairly typical for Hawk HPS to make some noise, but after ~2000 miles Im just putting the pagids back in.

    Positives:

Braking is much improved over stock, stops on a dime.
Dont seem to fade very much as they heat up.
Dont need to "warm up" to start to grab.

    Negatives:
Loud as all hell, for street pads these are pretty terrible, ive taken my brakes apart and greased the shims probably 4 times already.
    Pedal feel is terrible.
Dust is pretty bad, expected, but pretty bad.

But really, the noise is awful, so much for Hawk saying these are street pads.

If your looking for new brakes just get Brembo blank discs and pagid pads, best setup you can get for DD.

What kind of pad were you looking for when you bought these? Something grippy for the street?

Yep they advertised as grippy for the street and won't fade for light autocross use. Just a step under the full track and autocross use HP+ pads. What I got was basically race pad temperament in street pad price and advertisement. I expected light squeal and some major dust when cold, but not full on grinding, squeal all the time.

Jurid makes a nice quality ceramic pad for the front that'll have great grip on the street. They don't make em for the rear for whatever reason...
