Powercoating the front sub frame. Does anywhere need to be masked off?

I have the sub frame out of my parts car. Over the winter i'm going to weld in reinforcements and have it power coated. At first i was thinking i would mask some areas off but looking at Garagetastic's pictures of the sub frames they offer powder coated it doesn't look like they mask off the sleeve on the rear mounting bolt that fits into the chassis or the tapered holes where the ball joint from the control arm goes. These were the areas i was concerned about.

Does anyone have any experience with this they could share?

I had my spare subframe welded and reinforced then had it powder coated. I didn't cover anything. Fit good and looks nice

OK. The locator pin will slide into the unibody OK if its a little thicker?

Because it's tapered, it will slide in, but really you should mask it. Just buy a couple rubber stoppers and stuff one in each side of the holes. Then just let the powdercoater know about them so they can pull them before the oven. All the other holes should be fine.

You should just be able to tell the powdercoater where you don't want them to paint and they will either tape it off using high temp specialized tape or rubber plugs.
