UUC BBK - has anyone had issues?

So I purchased a BBK from UUC, and have been trying to install them, but the brake lines that came with the kit seem to have the wrong connection. Looks like I need a female/female line, but was sent a female/male line. The line also looks a bit short. Has anyone purchased such a kit in the recent past?

Here are some pics of the lines I was sent - with the adapter.

I have been talking to Rob at UUC to try to resolve this issue, but have not had a resolution as of yet. He has indicated to me that there is a different adapter that I need from the caliper to the line, but two days later it hasn't been shipped.

Has anyone else had a similar issue?

I think I used a 90° adapter that I ordered from somewhere but I have no idea of the specifics.
I also slightly modified the metal clips because they have a tendency to come off. I think there is a thread on R3V somewhere about that. Once I got those issues sorted out I have been happy with the brakes. I think I used the pads that are often used on dirt track cars, DTC 10 maybe? They stop well without too much squeal.

This is why I was on the fence about buying this kit from UUC. Hope everything gets resolved.

This shouldn't be a problem if they had the correct lines made. Most calipers will be -2AN or 1/8-27T (NPT) thread for the inlet. Do you know what calipers they are using in their kit, or are they still being secretive about it all? If so, ask them what the caliper inlet is. I'm guessing it's going to be 1/8-27T NPT and it's probably a wilwood caliper.

The other female end should be metric m10x1.0 to match the flare of your hard line. If you can't connect to the hardline, you'll need a female m10x1.0 to male ??? Brake line fitting (Probably -2AN) fitting. If you can connect to your hardline ok, the problem is likely the hose end is the issue and I would bet the -2AN fitting is what the brake lines will have on them as it's very common for things like masters. In which case you may need an NPT adapter to go into the caliper.

I'd personally go into a place that makes brake lines, take your caliper with you too and try both the fittings to see what's up. Then I'd send UUC the bill for such terrible support as they should know what fitting comes on they lines and what inlet is used on the caliper. Should be a walk in the park to make it all fit, and should have included adapters if they cheaped out and didn't get the lines made to suit bmws specific with their metric flares.

I've heard problems with their stuff before. I think they had a bad brake pad rattle at one time. I looked into them, but decided Massive Lee was the way to go.
