i took the whole thing out with the diff and TAs on, you just make sure to undo the brake lines, the speed sensor, the driveshaft and anything else and your good
Your signature picture has been removed since it contained the Photobucket "upgrade your account" image.

I also just removed the whole subframe with diff and TA's attached. Much easier to remove those items once it's out.

Now if I can figure out how to get what's left of the subframe bushings off the car.

i rented a gear puller from advance auto for *free* and it was a piece of cake....i also re-mounted the subframe with everything still attached to it lol...i put the subframe on bricks, jack by the diff a bit, lift subframe and add another brick and so on...worked like a charm for a one person job...

now if i could only find the right tool or a way to to re-mount the stupid control arms bushings on the control arms!!

Use a piece of threaded rod or long bolt, washer and nuts. Place a piece of pipe on the opposite end of the TA bushing hole and insert the threaded rod or bolt into the bushing and then into the TA. Proceed to lubricate the bushing and then slowly thread it into the TA.

If you search the forum for subframe bushing install, you will find a thread with a picture of the threaded rod tool being used to press TA bushings.

Okay I was having a fit on Friday with this myself. Want to stop cursing? Or start cursing in celebration? Grab your Palmolive or equivalent and smear it all over the control arm and inside the bushing. Be generous. Two minutes later (one minute per side), wonder why you didn't think of this before. I did one off the car, and one under the car with the ball joints mounted already. If I were to try and describe how easy it went on, it would be an understatement. Mine are solid rubber m3 offsets by the way. Good luck. :-D

alleluya! i also got M3 offsets and got another tip about putting the CAB on boiling water to make the rubber soft so i will try it with some Palmolive as soon as my back fixes up. i sustained a really bad injury a few days ago playing soccer so i'll be out of commision for a few weeks.

thanks for the help, i already did away with the spring perches and prepped the struts for moddin so pics in the near future
