My car is getting a bit scary on the highway because the rear bushings are so far gone. I have offset poly CABs from AKG now, and it is a bit squeaky but not too bad. Will the rears be just as bad? How hard is it to install all this, not including the job of getting the subframe out?

i just recently did mine. the rears will squeak, but how much, i dunno. mine is still in "roller" stage and i can hear them. if you yank the subframe, the job is no problem. takes an afternoon or less. while you are in there, might as well do the subframe bushings as well.Originally posted by jrhaileFor the record I have never fucked a goat.

There really isn't a difference between copper and aluminum stuff. I've just heard that the copper stuff lasts a lot longer. That's what I used and they still squeak but its tolerable. The install isn't very hard but make sure you use a shit load of the copper or aluminum stuff. Don't be alarmed when they squeak because with as much movement as there is back there, its inevitable.
Do the subframe bushings as well while you're in there.

I don't know how you guys are getting squeaking in the rear. it shouldn't even be rotating on the bushing - that's what the metal insert is for.
5 years on poly TA and subframe bushings and they've never squeaked.. of course poly doesn't hold up all that well, I know everyone says it lasts longer than rubber, but it just isn't true. Poly tends to deform over time, and my bushings are due for a 2nd refresh now. I have AKG waiting to go in next.

Had IE TABs on my last car and they didn't squeak at all, I also had their subframe mounts.
My ie sway bars clunked when the mounting tab broke off from the trailing arm. Had to replace it. And no more noises.
Not everything IE is bad. Some stuff are the exact same stuff you'd buy anywhere else.
