    i was wondering if that bracket would work for fc calipers too? i have a spare set of 89 rx7 calipers just laying around and this would be a great upgrade

      Yes they will work. FC and FD calipers share the same mounting dimensions, as well as piston sizes.

            Yeah I didn't want to get this one wrong... with the engine swap, provided I respected gasoline, the worst thing that was going to happen is deadstick in the middle of a lapping day and some embarrassment. If my brakes fail at the end of the back straight on Mt Tremblant at full tilt, it's my ass.

            Not yet. Before I mount everything for the final time I need to get 2 pairs of bolts circumcised. I'm using the OE caliper bracket->strut bolts, but for the inner pair they're too long by 3mm (need to be 27, they're the ideal length for the outer pair [caliper to bracket]), jamming into the rotor. I have them shimmed with a washer right now but there's no way I'm using a washer under bolts like this.

              I can vouch for this, I have a friend's FC calipers here too, the geometry is identical.

                          Nein, it was a favor to my dad to get these done as is, I was afraid they'd refuse to mod them for the cutouts but they were cool with it. The drawing's there though, should be easy to make a pair for yourself in the UW shop. Just remember to mock up a cardboard one first if you have ABS, I don't guarantee that it'll clear the sensor.

                              Man, I never thought about getting a second set of FD brakes for the 30. This is on my to do list. Fd brakes are fairly cheap too.
