    my car is too low!

hello everyone. i purchased an e30 a month ago. the car runs fine. the only problem i have is that it's too low. i got pulled over 3 weeks ago the cop said the car is too low. from the side skirts to the ground i think there's only a 4-5 inches gap..i need some suggestions about what springs should i buy. not coilovers definitely, too expensive. i wanted something a lil bit higher than what i have right now but not as high as the stock springs. also if i change my springs, is it recommended to change the shocks too. btw i have h&r springs and bilstein shocks.

It would help if you told us what you have on right now so we dont tell you yo get the same springs.

You probably have the H&R Cup Kit. stupid low and very soft.

Whaaat.. Shoulda told him his car was too high. What do they care?

I would say that you'd want to get new springs anyway, because the eibachs are usually not very low. Which means someone may have cut them.

Show is a picture of your car.

As for as slightly lower/better than stock but not actually good (haha, just not as low or stiff as H&R race etc) then I'd go for H&R sport springs which will work fine with your billies.

Since when do cops in cali care about how low a car is?
Hemingway said it best. “There are only three sports: bullfighting, motor racing, and mountaineering; all the rest are merely games.”

idk haha. my friends s13 is about 2 inches from the frame rails and he has never been hassled for how low his car is. im pretty sure you could leave your car how it is and you'll be fine from cops it was probably just one dick head cop

i was even thinking the only reason he pulled me over is because of racial profiling, or he smelled my coffee latte and a box of doughnuts on my passenger seat. ill post some picture as soon i get my camera back.

btw, my rear right side is making the squeeky sounds whenever i drive, is it safe to put silicon spray on the shocks? or what other altnernatives should i do aside from changing the shocks...
