Hmm... that might be another kind, the ones I'm looking at are like... $65 each LOL... So I'm assuming that they aren't 5 way adjustable. (From BMA)

      suspension

You have to get in touch with kyb and be sure that you can run an aggressive spring. Cause if it can't handle the spring, those kyb's will be blown in a matter of weeks.
If you can wait, save a little longer and purchase the bilstiens sports. 10year warrenty on them!
go to shox.com I think there the cheapest.

I'm running KYB's along with E30 M3 springs and they have been just fine. I asked Jay at Ground Control what he thought of running KYB. Although they recommend Koni for BMW's, they do carry KYB for some vehicles, and he thought they were probably fine. Although its weird running monotube (Gas-A-Just) in the rear and twin-tube (GR-2) up front. I got my rear shocks from a local dealer (I did those 6 month earlier) and my front struts from Tire Rack.

I have no experience with KYBs on an e30, but I had KYB 5 ways on my old MR2 and they were way, way to stiff, even on their softest setting. I believe GR-2s are much softer however. I think it would work, its probably what I will run on my 87

I had KYB Gas-a-justs for a while and thought they were OK with stock springs, but not great with H&R Sports. Under-damped.... Same with Boge Turbos. Riding on Koni SAs now at 80% firm in front, but full soft in back. The ride is pretty civil with really excellent front to rear balance. I LOVE 'em. Not exactly cheap, but totally worth it!

I'm running the KYB GR-2 front gas-adjust rear set up with RD sport green springs. I have no complaints at all. Massive improvement over the stock set up. I guess I would have purchased Bilsteins, but the budget was tight at the time. If your looking for a decent shock at a ghetto cheap price, go with the KYB. Oh yeah, they also have the lifetime warranty.

Has anyone had any ride height change with the gr2's? I just purchased a 325 is and the previous owner had eibach sport springs with factory shocks that are now tired. I want to keep the springs still and of course, I am on a tight budget. Any help on height is appreciated.

I'm running Bavauto springs on my '92 325iC and I just had GR2s installed up front and Gas-Adjust in the back and I didn't notice an increase in height.

Any new shocks installed on a car that has blown stock shocks is going to be raised a bit.
