Those are pretty much the best shocks ever. You should run them all around on your car.Tenured Automotive Service Professional - Avid BMW Enthusiast

I was making a joke because the kid is a moron. Tokico anything is teh suck. (anything he would be able to afford for his car anyways) hence why he is looking at Tokico, to cheap out.Originally posted by egk2Get a cupkit if you want the best.
The cupkit is worlds better then Tokico shit. Until you are given an oppertunity to ride along in my car then shut your fucking mouth.Tenured Automotive Service Professional - Avid BMW Enthusiast

The HP shock you refer to is also know as the "Tokico Blues".....and there's another name for them as well....SHIT. Do not, I repeat, DO NOT buy these. I know a few E30 owners who managed to blow these crap-excuse-for-a-shock in just one or two days on the race track.....the equivilant to a few days on some twisty highway.
If you're going to go with a GC set up, at the very least get some Bilstein Sports....many here will attest to the quality of this shock. However, if you plan on running a rather aggressive GC spring rate (i.e. 350 or more for the front and 550 or more in back) then consider the Koni SA shock instead.....its much better suited for high spring rates. If you feel compelled to go with a Tokico product, get the adjustable Illuminas....its based on a design and construction method that is far superior to the HPs. I have been running a set of these with H&R Sport springs for a few years on my 325i with absolutely no problems at all.....over 60K miles of hard driving and some track days too.

what do yall think is a better setup??
gc's @ 325 and 500 with sports?
or ie stage 3 with sports?Comment
-
That is hard to answer, I would say for your purposes you should just get the IE's since a progressive spring will work better with Bilsteins, and the fact that you probably won't use the coil overs to their full capability and tune them properly.Originally posted by e30 gangstawhat do yall think is a better setup??

Please reread my post. I said I knew of some people who blew Tokico Blues (or HPs) in no time......not Konis. Come to think of it, I don't think I've ever heard of someone that has blown out a Koni SA shock.Originally posted by MystikalHow the hell did you blow Konis?
And they are the best shock for those applications, save for super expensive DA's.
