You dont think the springs have a chance to move around while compressed? That is what I am scared about.

nope, if cut springs don't, these wont.

I run a pair of these from IE to keep them centered:

Spring Pads - Rear for small diameter springs

          SKU - e30springpad $12.00

          --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
New Product- These are urthane rear spring pads for 2 1/4" to 2 1/2" ID springs. These locate the springs properly when using the smaller diameter racing springs. Priced each. You would normally need 4 per car.

What size ID are you using with those 2.5 or 2.225 spring? Can i see pics of the car from the side to see fitment and are you using spring pads?

Im interested in doing this as well. Not looking to slam the car as im gonna run CG's w/475 fronts on the stock perches w/Koni inserts. BTW, my rear Koni's are revalved, but not shortend

Also, are u guys buying regular Eibachs used in the CG's or getting something like Hypercoils?

You only remove the adjuster not the threaded tube. That way it is still somewhat centered and it won't pop out if that's what you're worried about.

No adjuster, tube etc. Just the stock rubber top mount nipple thing to keep it kinda centered. No issues. Not ideal for performance, but who cares?

Word, that top mount thingy will keep it centered anyway. I was going to say that in my previous post but I got lazy. If you have GC, that nipple thing keeps a good hold of the spring from my own experience.

Thinking about it tho, they maybe as thick as the GC adjuster... You might be able to get a couple more of the GC plastic cones??

I run just spring in the back, no adjuster, no tube, no pads. It's been fine so far for the 1000 or so miles I've had it like that. Just cant catch air with the car, lol.
