The back just looks high because of the bugaboonish rear tires, look at the fender to wheel gap to see the actual height. It's pretty damn even.

Your avatar looks like an early model though, so the back will look higher no matter what. Your best bet to fix it with those springs is to stack some pads up front and take them all out in the rear.

IF you want to do it for cheap here's an option for you.

        Cosmo coilovers - $240.
        Cosmo camber plates - $120.
Billy sport front strut inserts - $220.
        KYB shocks rear - $100

Done. Low. Cheap. Not nearly as good as GC and longevity will be nonexistent with the exception fo the front struts. If you shop around you may be able to do better. I have a friend who has been autocrossing on Cosmos for 3 years with no problem (318ti). However, he has been running Konis and has changed out the springs for different rates. The sleeve that came with the cosmo kit is still on and working fine with no issues.

Best of luck and I still agree with everyone else that it is better to use the GC kit.

I am on a tight budget (as far as the wife knows, I am on a ZERO budget and that I am trading stuff off my parts car,..LOL) ANYWAY,..
I just ordered those cheap springs from slick car last week.
I know, most of the time you get what you pay for, but they will due for a while, it's really just my weekend car.
I'll let you know how they are next week.

17x8.5 et12, 205/40 front 215/45 rear. The rears are way too big, they almost don't fit in the fender

I am, that picture is just showing the tire size. The white car is redhoodridah's old car with my old FK's. I never had any good pics of my car with the springs and the picture of his car doesnt show the tires too well.

I keep looking at that white car trying to convince myself to order that fk 75/50 kit, I was gonna save for coils but idk now. Does any one know how much more of a drop the fk kit offers over H&R sports because that's what I'm on now.

Also which setup is stiffer Sports or the fk kit?
                      Thanks

I dropped my car on the cheap, only problem I have is shock longevity (using stock ht shocks and keep getting them at the junkyard lol). I have a fabrication shop, so the necessary tools were at hand).

Found some 6.5" coil over springs during one of the visits to the wrecker and saw a Nissan with 2" shock towers and a coil over conversion. You can get the same thing on ebay (they are listed for Honda coil over conversion) get the high/low kit. Cut off the lower stock spring perch and grind it smooth, then weld a collar to let the adjustable seat sit on. Cut the threaded tube so that your damper retaining nut will hold the tube in place. Then you will have to drill the top perch that comes in the kit to fit your shock stud, that's it.

I started with the springs that came with the ebay kit, but now am using the Nissan springs, KYB shocks in front and Bilstiens in the rear.

I have an early high-arch car and stock bottlecap wheels 185/65 front, 195/60 rear...

My fenders are 23" off the ground all the way around.

Measuring from the fender to ground is not the preferred way to measure ride height. Center of wheel to fender arch zenith is the appropriate measurement.

H&R sports are 180 front 380 rear, the FK's are 375 all around. Probably about a 2" drop from where you are now.

Thanks for the info, I think I'm gonna order that kit soon. I really wanted coils but the more I think about it I don't really need them yet.
