previous owner said the back is dropped all the way and the front can go a little lower. i would like to go lower but my front lip is an inch off the ground and oil pan sits real low. ride is actually really nice and it's at it's stiffest setting.Comment

with billstein sport shocks and struts and h&r sport springs how low will I be? Will I have any trouble fitting 15x7 or 15x8 maybe staggered?Comment

Lame drop, IMO. Go with race.
You wont have any problem fitting those wheels, under either case.Comment

My two previous E30's. I'll have another update soon for my new project 318is.
1986 325
Intrax springs
stock pads
stock shocks
stock sways
195/60/14 Falken 512's
^ These are the only pics I ever had of the car. The pics from the passenger side makes the car look a little higher than it is because of the angle of the hill. These springs actually got the car quite low. The drivers side was pretty close to what it typically looked like. It was enough to scrape the header over any normal sized speedbump.
1990 325i Vert
Vogtland sport springs
Bilstein sports
stock pads
stocks sways
205/50/15 Dunlop DZ101
15x8 +20 Rota Slipstreams
^This was a really good drop for the rear of the car but not for the front. If I still had the car I would've taken the front pads out and used some sort of drophat to get rid of the rake. The car handled pretty nicely with this setup, and it was very comfortable for a daily.Comment

I have to ask folks here that are experts as i am not that familiar with E30 suspension set-ups.
What combo is the "semi-coilover"? My loose interpretation is that you have the set-up in the front with regular lowering springs in the back....cos so far that set-up seems to look the sweetest from what i've seen so far.
Thanks.Comment

^ I would consider a semi/coilover a sleeve coilover kit like Ground Control front and rear with some kind of upgraded shock like bilstein or koni to match. A full coilover suspension is typically a kit that has the damper or shock body threaded for height adjustability. There is usually no modifications needed and it is all complete/sold as one item.
A "semi-coilover" wouldn't be a coilover in front and spring in back. It would be really hard to even buy that setup because most companies don't sell just front or rears. You would have to piece it together from used parts. It also wouldn't be matched very well since most spring kits are softer than most coilover kits.Comment
