Where would I be without you Sean? :) Damn you for getting the konis. Then again, I got my bilsteins AND prokits shipped for less than your IE's alone shipped I'll bet...lol.Originally posted by SeanI will keep you posted, buddy. ;)Originally posted by BeemerfanatikAnyone other than potato dick Larry here?Originally posted by SeanDust sheilds really are unneeded.
The strut is in the strut assembly! lol
I would trim the bump stop. I haven't looked, but I will be this morning. I expected the IE Stg 3 springs to bring my front end tires level with my fender, and their about 3/4-1 inch apart. So, I'm thinkin I'm riding on my bump stops, since I didn't trim them.
:) let me know Sean. My 4x4 pro kits will probably be fine.

Pictures? When I put IEs in my front didnt change in height from bavautos. It may have gone up just a bit. I took my spring pads out too. Those bumpstops are made of foam, with a thousand pounds squashing them, they probably wont be making your ride height much taller.
The springs will settle too.Old and improved:

If you were riding on your bumpstops, you would have no suspension, i.e. you would KNOW it. Konis have enough to travel to still have compression room even with the front tires tucked and stock bump stops (ask me how I know).Originally posted by SeanDust sheilds really are unneeded.

If by bump rubber, you mean the 2 black rubber "cap" looking things, then yes, they are in the box with some assorted washers and whatnot.Originally posted by EtaSportThe rears shouldnt be a problem. You got the bump rubber with them right? Some dont even say you need that.
The only thing im thinking about the front (if they are stock bils) you might not have bumpstops at all up there. My car had original bils and no bumpstops. I was trying to think why I didnt put them in. The tubes on the bilstiens are too large to run a factory bumpstop.
They will fit on the konis though, so you may want to just get them.
I'll order some front bump stops from BMA, thanks dude.Comment

Random pictures I chose to upload of my progress, and one of my best shots with the new suspension. For the car, check out this picture: http://e30.electrontek.com/project/s...n/IMG_2068.jpg
SOOO PRETTYY!! 8)
The rear springs have settled a LOT today. As in, my rear tires are now almost tucking. It looks damn nice though...ohhh man. lol The fronts still a bit higher for my liking. I HOPE taking out that pad will let it drop a bit more, but maybe that's just wishful thinking. I have all spring pads in front, and in the rear, I've put the spring pads out of my car, AND my parts car. I used all four pads with those cone things on them, and I used the other four pads (originally the bottom pads) and cut them to fit over the bottom cone, and I have two of those on each pad. Overall, it's looking very nice. If I could get the front just a tad lower, it'd be perfect!
Well, that is good to know. Still have my fingers crossed that it'll drop at least a 1/8 inch or so. hehe.Originally posted by MystikalIf you were riding on your bumpstops, you would have no suspension, i.e. you would KNOW it. uhh, you're not supposed to paint the surface of your rotors..
looks good though, but I think some centercaps would be even better (I think standard 15" ones would fit).Comment

I'm running without front bumpstops until I get my Konis. Seems to be fine, mind you I don't drive the car hard enough to test it, since I need a full bushing job and new front shocks.Comment

they are made by ground control for use with their koni setups.

Which would you reccomend? I plan to keep my Konis on full-soft most of the time, maybe a bit stiffer, but I won't be changing them often.Originally posted by e30sdthey are made by ground control for use with their koni setups.
