Switching to non airbag steering wheel?

So is there a way to avoid triggering the SRS warning light? I'm thinking of ditching my airbag wheel, I know about changing the stalks.

Ya pretty easy just unplug/uninstall the orange box that is behind the light switch mechanism. If you do that there should be no light!

I didnt bother changing the stalks, my airbag stalks are still comfortable to use, i like it better. Dont have to move my hands off the wheel to operate them.

so if i saw an mtech steering wheel in the junk yard and i want to remove it but I dont have the key, what is the best approach to unhinge the steering wheel lock?

Maybe pull the lock cylinder? There is an easy way if you use an Allen key? I think I saw a wright up somewhere on here. Search removing lock cylinder the easy way. Than just remove steering wheel and send to me lol. But that's what I'm hoping for bit the yards here in Utah suck.

Just use a hacksaw right behind the steering wheel, on the top of the column and the lock will disengage.
