    Suspension Setup.....

I have a 1985 325e with H&R OE sport springs (1" drop) with tokico gas shocks. Im looking for a lower drop or some way to stiffen up the suspension so there is non or less body roll. Only supsensions i see most people running is Ground control coilovers. I know there is also AP sporttuning, Racing dynamic springs and KW suspension (also others) out there. Im looking more towards coilover suspension and some are over 1g which i know is best but i've looked around and price ranges for ground control coilovers are near $400. I also know you could add strut bars to tighten the turning ability of the car. If you guys can give me some advise on which route to go with my suspension id appriciate it! where i can find these suspensions(websites) with pictures and prices. thanks in advance!!

For street use (and even occasional track use), I'd recommend IE Stage 3 springs over my Ground Controls, paired with Koni SA dampers. They ride significantly better, and still provide great roll control. Add a Sparco front strut bar for better turn-in.

Yeah it fits fine, you just have to get creative sometimes as the chassis' sag over time. Search for more info anwyays.

The sole reason I got the Konis was because I wanted to go from full stiff to full soft. I've also read that if you can tune the shock right, they are much better matched to the IE 3s.

With the full soft on the Konis, I had a very hard time telling the difference from stock.
The BMW 318 is back. With a vengeance.

Well yes.. if you tune anyshock (revalved and to spec of the springs) then it is much better than putting a set of a springs with b shocks to get a c performance.... but then you have to factor in spending money and how much you want....

I was just questioning why choose Koni... only because you can click a switch to go from full soft to full stiff? Even that design is a bit off, what if you need something that is not full stiff or not full soft?

Technically they don't, but on our sagging chassis' it's pretty surprising just how much that bar (and the straightening you need to do to get it on in the first place) does for the dynamics. You're right though, I shouldn't say turn-in.

Konis because they offer better rebound control and offer more travel, plus the softer compression leads to better ride quality. I honestly have never really seen a good reason to get Bilsteins instead.

konis are adjustable for more than "full stiff" and "full soft". you can basically set them at an infinite number of points inbetween.. and there is no "switch" you can click, either.

the thing I have found with konis is once you have adjusted them to where you like them, you don't change them a lot. I've adjusted my rears twice since I got them and my fronts once.

I've changed the fronts and rears 2 times. I did full stiff all round, and now I'm at 3/4 front and about 5/8 rear. I haven't touched it since then.
