    Help: toe adjustment on lower cars

    I just lowered my car on bilstein sport ands h&r sports and I have stock 14" basket weaves, what should be the ideal toe (and/or camber if it applies) or is factory spec just fine?

    Factory spec. I must have had some serious toe-in on my car because I just had mine re-aligned and my car no longer feels like I have a bad power steering pump. I never would have thought that incorrect toe would add so much steering effort. Just thought I would add that.

      Bad toe is much worse than improper camber. Once I got an alignment, everything felt so awesome.

          On a lowered car you will reduce the rate of tire wear that results from the increase in camber by using less toe-in that the stock spec calls for. Zero toe will yield the best tire life, but that demads that you drive the car 100% of the time. A compromise is to set to for no more than 1/16" total toe.

              He means you can never stop driving - not even for gas. I suggest starting at a high elevation.

                    Correct! With zero toe there are no self centering forces tending to keep the car traveling in a straight line. You have to pay attention and drive the car all the time or it will wander.
