not sure about those. if the setup is similar to that of d2 then no welding is required.
my coils are k sport. i didnt weld anything but i cant really lower my car in the front anymore until I fab them

Cosmo coilover are basically coil spring and sleve. You could get away without cutting the factory perch but then you couldn't really lower your car. Its best to remove the factory perch. If you plan to go this route just to go to Colman racing and order race quality perch for 45-65 bucks and order spring separately.

Actually, that glass looks to be about the size out of a standard welding helmet. Just bc he's not wearing a welding helmet or gloves doesn't mean he's doing a hack job. My buddy graduated with honors and top of his class at Hobart College, worked 3 years doing fabrication for C&R Racing, and is now an entrepreneur doing his own metal artwork and freelance jobs. He's quite successful, does a great job, uses the SAME external welding glass method. granted, he does wears gloves and a jacket bc he doesn't like UV burns or arc pops sticking to him.
