H&R Race installed. Rear sits HIGH.

First post...did a lot of searching and lurking leading up to this point. Anyway, I have been redoing my E30s suspension. Installed Bilstein Sports paired with H&R Race springs and GC camber in the front. WOW, great drop, the tire is flush with the fender, nice and aggressive stance.

However, the Bilstein Sports/H&R race in the rear did almost nothing to change the car's ride height. It still looks exactly the same as it did stock. What did I do wrong?

Yeah you really have to drive it around a bit for it to fully settle. I have the same setup and it settled another 1/4" or so. It had a lot of reverse rake before but now it sits perfectly. I doubled up the pads in the back and removed them from the front. This is on a vert.

Thanks for the quick replies. I realize that it will settle a bit more but the car's rear cuurently appears to have no drop whatsoever. I have a pic but it doesn't show much. Ill take more if necessary.

Here is the onlyv pic I have available:

Springs might be upside down. I'll flip them around tonight. Updates after that!

Something isnt right there that looks way too high. HR race is very low in the back. Gave me reverse rake

Early model arches probably contribute to some of your problem. You could always remove the spring pads. . .

Well, I did have the springs in upside down...so I flipped them around with high hopes, but my ride still sits at stock height. Heading to the car in a few minutes so I'll post pics. Any ideas are miracles.

What specifically do you mean by arches?

I installed my fenders today and have the same problem except up front.
The car seems to sit like 1.5in higher even though the new top mounts should be about 3mm shorter and I put 3mm top spring pads instead of the 9mm ones.
Installed Konis and IE sway, same springs as before, new joints.

Will this "sit" or is something wrong? I set the sway bar links while the car was still in the air but I doubt they would lift the front.
I've only driven it about 2 miles.

Edit: maybe not that much (1.5in), now that I look at old pics.

I installed H&R race springs in my 86 eta literally last night and this is how it's sitting a day later and after a few hours of canyon driving.

E90 drop hats and all spring pads installed and it sits this low.

I do not have he shock and sway set up you do so I can not vouch for that affecting your height. But yea I'm curious to see what's causing your issue.

theres no way that even with spring pads it would sit that high. you installed it wrong somehow. check for shit binding. you might have not seated it in the perch properly.
