if 12 inches compressed isn't enough, just look for e1 top mount, and s1 bottom mount. Then look for a smaller compressed lenght.

I accidentally ordered 3 instead of 2 kyb agx camaro rear shocks. I realized it the second my finger came up from the mouse button and saw that the total was higher than I expected. My stupidity can be someone elses gain though, as I will have 1 kyb agx Camaro rear shock for sale shortly.

It cost me $30 cash and was done within 2 hours at a local machine shop.

I was quoted 75 at a local machine shop so I improvised. Impact gun with the nut on the end of the strut to spin the shaft and let the file do the work :) seems ghetto but worked absolutely perfectly. Car is now bolted up and feels great!

Gr2s w/ Raceland front end stuff. We are waiting on my 48x1.5 tap to shorten the housings without having to section and weld. For now a spacer to make up the space at the bottom of the strut

I've thought about that method before, but didn't want to put the money down on a tap and then not manage to get it to thread properly. My concern is that it will take quite a bit of force to cut new threads that big.
Let us know how that works out. If it taps easily, I would be interested in buying/renting the tap when you are done. That would make the job worlds easier!

So... I'm lazy an don't want to read all of this, haha. Can someone give me some quick info on how/and or if it works for the front?
                          Thanks

works for the front, you have to cut the housings 2 inches, order toyota mr2 rear shocks, and run your coils with some 5-6 inch springs and everything will be alright..

Hey so I bought the mr2 front shock and also the camaro rear gas adjust shocks. I read all 18 pages and it seems to be really scrambled with info. I also have the GE coil overs. Ive been looking to see what I need to make my shocks fit with the right spacers for each shock.

                              -Thanks Cody

mr2 fronts =2 inches shorter. You can cut your housings down 2 inches and run without a spacer.
