I have a set of GC coilovers with GC150.64.77 (6/2.5"/440 lbs) front springs and short body Koni's in my M3. I believe these are the special GC Eibachs that are slightly barreled to clear the stock style shock collar nut. I'd like to go lower by another inch but don't want to modify the strut housings. I noticed GC sells GC125.64.75 (5/2.5"/425 lbs) which appears to be a 5" spring. Sounds like it's exactly what I'm looking for. Figured I'd ask if anyone had a pair and was interested in a trade or opinions?

Im interested in if this works since I don't want to modify my strut housing either.
6" spring with a modified strut missing 1" = 5" spring with strut missing 0"
that sounds logical to me but maybe I maybe missing something besides that lol. Good Luck with finding a trade Barry! -
It works to the extent that you're willing to bottom out the suspension that much more.2006 GMC Sierra 2500HD 4WD LBZ/Allison

I had this same issue and I ended up switching to camber plates from stock upper strut bushings and that dropped me almost 2 inches without changing shock travel. Are you on camber plates already?Comment

No luck finding a trade but I did find a new pair for $80 shipped. The new springs are 5"/2.5"ID/425 lbs/in and I'm thinking 1" less spring travel with those rates shouldn't be a problem with short body Koni's. Not with a light S14 in the car at least. I forgot to mention I already have Vorshlag camber plates. Spoke to someone running a 5" spring with a custom 2.5" perch (thinner than an adjuster) with stock spring perches and he says its fine. We'll see how it goes afterall I can always throw the 6" springs back on."I'd probably take the E30 M3 in this case just because I love that little car, and how tanky that inline 6 is." - thecj

Okay, the 5" springs are in. Only took about 30 minutes with struts in the car and probably didn't have to take the wheels off since these springs are only 5 and 6" long. Anyway, with a one inch additional drop it was a tad too low for my liking so I raised the adjusters up a bit. The ride is excellent and I am very pleased with the outcome.
