    eibachs and bilsteins

    hey guys im getting them today and i want to throw them on but my work sucks and i cant use the shop without paying $25 an hour and paying book time. any way lond story short i have everything to do it myself elsewhere id need besides a spring compressor any way around this without dying? the sooner someone helps the sooner i can ppost pictures :)

    I just took the whole strut housing out, including taking off tie rods and control arms. Then I took it to my buddy's shop and replaced the springs and struts. Otherwise borrow a spring compressor from kragen or napa.

      Might be a little more sweat but I think it's easier to remove the whole assembly like Beemer Boy said. I've never tried it on the car so I don't know if it's even possible. I know I couldn't lean the strut housing out of the strut tower with everything attached and spring compressed. Could even just do the old impactthenutwhilestandingonthestrut trick. I don't advise this however.

        you can rent spring compr. autozone, o" relies, for free.. makes it alot easier

            Just an FYI...if there is ANY evidence of impact use (and its usually obvious) you will not get the time of day from BS should you ever make a warranty claim. AMHIK.
