regular Powerflex bushings. Had them for about 5 years now and still work great. Design makes them impossible to pop out of the lollypop.

to the original poster........poly is fine for street..Ive used em for yrs.....you wont notice much harshensss increase...if at all.

If you have any concerns.....go w/ Mystikals choice........oe 95 m3 offset which are same as e 30 M3........offset gives you more caster......nothing else. Better hi spd stability , no change to camber as most people think . THR is pure overkill for a non tracked often street driven car.....but a great product none the less......

          depends what your goals are...

THR,, simply put, no frills, pure geometry, complete return on investment. I have them on my 318is and besides the slow ass M42 under the hood it feels and responds like the ultimate should.

Rubber= bad, Can't replace (except for the whole unit)

THR bushing= good, easily replaced (if they ever need to be)

Well as some of you know, I DO have the THR cabs which is the real reason I posed the questions in the first place.

Since the changes,(H&R race springs, THR cabs, and 17" wheels/tires)and unfortunately they all happened at once so it's hard to determine the source of the problem, my front end at speed has felt loose and darty.

Now to preface this: I installed new Lem control arms and outer tie rods all at the same time the rest of the changes occurred. I sanded the shit outta the ends of the CAs(still pop like mad) and then once everything was together, went and had a front end alignment done at a local tire shop. So yes, the front end is aligned, "professionally" so.

Anybody here have any ideas as to why my front end has gone loose on me? I was initially leaning toward blaming the cabs, but have since discussed it with a few people that think it may be the alignment. BUT, if the alignment was done to "spec", then why would the front end be all darty and loose?

                Anybody?

I agree. I have no spring pads up front and my suspension is loud as hell, but I love the feel and thats all that matters.

Was your car properly aligned before the new suspension? That might just be the way it should be, you could have had some toe in or out before. Or maybe they dialed in some toe in or out at the shop, did you ask when they did it?

I have urethane offset CABs and no spring pads and there is no noise in the front end. My springs are so short the can sag about 5" at rest as well.

Something to think about, how did you tighten down all your suspension stuff? If you left it all hanging, you could have preloaded the whole front end which will cause memory steer.

Preloaded the CABs you mean? They slide freely on the control arm.

So, he's saying is that offset, which gives you more camber, provides better high speed stability? How do it affect tire wear?

It increases castor, not camber. It doesn't affect tire wear.

I assume that is was aligned properly, but not sure of it. Looking at the front dead on, IF anything, it's set toe-out. Not much if at all, but it would err in that direction.

As for the CABs, I tightened them AFTER we had dropped the car back to the ground so as NOT to preload them. The tie rod outers and control arms were all tightened while still in the air.

I don't know yet, but the new bushing material will be here in a few days, I will swap it out and go from there.

                                Thanks for the input.
