i have pics and vids as well if anyone is interested. install was smooth as can be. I do run 3mm spacers with TRM c1s 15x8 tire size 205/50/15. my current setup is not all the way down with the camber plates set slightly to positive camber so that the neg camber up front is less severe. the dampening setting is 12 clicks up front and 16 in the back and its plenty stiff enough. vids and pics to come!

vids didnt come out nice but the go pro will be mounted soon for some different driving footage. overall I am very satisfied with performace and streetability. I drive to school a few times a semester and its 3 hours each way and I feel these will not be a problem. install was very easy and a local fab guy who runs the exhaust shop did the welding. took all of 3 minutes and 10 dollars.

theres still about 2 inches of drop but those wheels dont allow for much. will prob just get a 6" spring for the front. White 318 is my fathers. its stock to give you an idea.

Thanks for the feedback and photos! Can't wait to see more people getting their suspension set up properly! No more bottoming out for sure!

Just a note, if you're going to make adjustment to the suspension (preload or ride height) while they are already installed on the car, use a little bit of WD40 on the threaded area of the shock body and/or sleeves(rear) and in between the springs and the collars + top hat (where the springs come into contact with) so that it's a lot easier to adjust/spin.

I always just use a jack to take the load off it.

Damnnn looking GOOD! I'm thinking I might go with Megan's my self! I was afraid to do coilovers because of the welding. But fuck it I'll figure something out after I spend 900 on the coilovers lol.

dude just cut the tubes and drive around to every shop with a welder until someone does it haha idk about california but over here most shops dont give a crap if you give them a 20 spot. they will just weld it up and call it a day. its structurally a very sound way of mounting.

you cut the stock strut tube 50mm up from the bottom where it meets the knuckle. its in the instructions for all of these types of coilovers. then the new ones tightly slide over and get welded at the bottom near the knuckle.

Friend has them and they ride and handle so confidently and awesome.
They don't lose shock travel either when adjusting heights like many other traditional coilovers.

GC is great because of the customization of valving, springs, great plates, and cool other products they offer and are race proven. not really about show.

With that said, I'd probably choose the Megan's if I had to do it again becaus I'm not out to win any races and the cost is great

This man has a point! I just started tearing out my suspension to make room for the Megans this aft. Hopefully welding happens tomorrow or on thurs.

Another good link for those who aren't understanding the welding portion: http://emeraldcoastdrifters.com/2012...signs-bmw-e30/

Also the Megan USA site has plenty of solid tips for properly setting spring preload, ride height, and general install, including torque specs. It's under the "tech" section.

I'm in the process of doing 5 lugs using e36 m3 in the front and 318ti on the rear and I'm thinking putting coilover using megan. Do you guys think I can just purchase megan coilover for e36 m3?

Yea I think you'd have to purchase the e36 m3 ones if I'm not mistaking.
