    What causes negative front camber???

    1989 325iS
    200k
    Stock front suspension
    Extreme negative camber

I did some searches and have been unable to figure this out. My struts are in good shape, they are not blown nor bent. Also, I just put on new front hub/bearing assemblies. Should I replace the lower control arms next? Would worn ball joints cause this??? Please help

    How extreme is extreme?

A number of things could cause this. What strut mounts are you using? Offset? Centered? Are you sure the springs are OEM? Are you using the correct control arms? Control arm bushings?

Incorrect over tire inflation? maybe the lollipops are bad on the control arm giving you more camber. Don't see how bad control arms could cause camber wear as they are a fixed part.

I would replace them with Meyle arms if they are bad. Only get proper brand parts as they perform and LAST vs cheap Chinese aftermarket junk.

Pictures would greatly help, Tires; both sides and a full shot with the wheel turned out. And maybe some of the bushings if you can do so.

bmw's generally have a bit of negative camber at stock. Are you used to driving a toyota yaris or something?

Yea, the car was lowered when I first bought it. I recently installed used OE struts and OE springs. As far as I know, the lower control arms are the correct ones.

Pics would help. Most things up front won't cause major camber changes when they wear out, so maybe something is bent or incorrectly installed?

You need to answer the questions asked of you if you want us to help. How extreme is extreme? Are we talking 5 degrees, 3 degrees or 1 degree?

If I had to guess, I would say more than 5 degrees

If it is really over 5 degrees and you are truly at stock ride height then something is seriously, seriously wrong.

Incorrect front camber when the car has stock springs will be from bent or wrong control arms or chassis damage.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

+1 The control arms are possibly the only thing that can cause neg. camber up front, other than lowering the car itself or structural damage to the strut tower. -5 degrees camber, and there is something seriously wrong with those parts.
