Upgrading to m3 drop links worth it?

Just like the title. Do these make a big difference?

    Hell yeah.

Night and day for me. And this is coming from a 22mm sway up front, and then M3 links with the same sway.

You are saying you upgraded the sway then upgraded the links later?

Ok and the droppings made a night and day difference over just the bigger bar?
Also I'm concerned about them just snapping off the strut tube. But I guess welding is stronger than I imagine.

The links amplify your bar in a sense.
You feel more connected since they are connected to your tubes instead of control arms.

When I got mine installed years ago I got:
              Better turn in
              Illusion/feeling of a stiffer bar
              Heavier steering input
Steering wheel countered itself back quicker after turns

                I didn't get that perk :(

Have no basis for comparison but my car feels like a go kart with very front / m3 rear

I will just repeat what I said in another thread... I have had IMSA and World Challenge engineers tell me that the control arm is a better mounting point than the strut. According to them they like to switch to the control arm whenever the rules alllow. Just gonna throw that out there...

Any idea what the reasoning behind that is? (Not calling you out, just curious) And was this in general or in reference to BMW's specifically?

I'm honestly not 100% sure, I was pretty confused lol. Like most people i assume the strut mount would be best since thats what came on the M. They said that they liked the control arm because it doesnt turn when you turn the wheel causing too much preload and a slight delay. We were talking about E30s specifically, I was designing a set of strut tubes for my coilovers and they recommended against the strut mount. Apparently if the sway bar was mounted more inboard on the control arm then yes, the strut mount would be better.

That's really interesting. I've been thinking about WHERE exactly the tabs should get welded on the tube as it see,s like mm would make a noticeable difference.

Interesting... What's the reasoning behind people thinking the strut housing is better than the control arm to attach to? Just because bmw did it on the m3 and bmw knows best? Why would they do it on the m3 but not all e30s if there was no disadvantage to attaching to the strut housings? So many questions...
