    Steering rack crush washer sizes?

Does anyone now the crush washer sizes for the power steering rack lines- the banjo bolts at the end of the lines where they attach to the rack?

I want to buy a bunch of them to have on-hand before my e36 rack swap but I can't determine the size without pulling off the lines and I would prefer to have them on-hand BEFORE taking things apart.

Without me sounding like a prick, don't you think that I checked there first?

      http://realoem.com/bmw/showparts.do?...45&hg=32&fg=10

      Part #5...no part number listed.

      http://realoem.com/bmw/showparts.do?...86&hg=32&fg=20

Shows 14x20 but local auto parts stores don't list them that way...and I have to be honest, I don't know what those numbers mean. Is 14 the inner "cutout" and 20 the outer diameter?

Again, not trying to be a prick but I did do my research but when you go to a parts store and ask for that you get pointed to the universal parts "tree" in the aisles and nothing has numbers that even remotely relate/equate to "14x20"

Also, (and this is from memory not from recent verification) I believe that the 2 lines are different sizes to prevent reversing the lines but RealOEM shows only one size for both lines. IIRC, one is significantly larger than the other so they would not use the same crush washer.

Yeah it says the samer thing in BMWfans. Given that 1 of the hollow bolts is a 14mm thread and the other is a 16mm both rings can't be 14x20 (14mm ID X 20mm OD). The larger 1 must be 16Xsomething, most likely 22.

realoem.com isn't working for me at the moment - but usually if no part is listed, you can look for it in another section.

Am I correct that the first number is inter diameter and the second is exterior diameter?

I appreciate the affirmation that I am not totally nuts for thinking that the 2 lines (and thus the washers) were different sizes.

I found it on another screen (second link in my post above) but as was confirmed by vpilarrt the RealOEM listing is not 100% accurate, as it lists one size for both lines.

I did confirm that the first number is indeed the inner diameter and the second number is the outer diameter, but finding them in-stock is a challenge. IESCTuning has them, and I am looking to see if there is a bulk-pack of crush washres that I can order. I even did th eimperial conversion and am still coming up empty, but the internet is vast so I'll keep looking. The 16x22 size sounds right, and the size does exist so that could be what I needed to know.

I get my crush washer from autohausaz for about $.40@. The bag I have is PN 32411093597 which I think is the larger ones. I also prefer the copper ones which I think crush better

Thank you- I just ordered 20 of the smaller ones and 10 of the larger ones from AutoHausAZ for $12.45, shipped. The smaller ones have an odd part number on their site- 007603-014106
