KW vs Ground Control - Who's got experience?

    What up R3V!

I'm going to be in the market for a set of coil overs in the future and am looking at either a full ground control setup or possibly KW variant 1 or 2 if my budget can afford it. Ground control seems to be the go to set up that most people decide to run and I can see why, springs, shocks, adjusters and camber plates for a solid price.

My question is what spring rates are people running for an aggressive street and partial track set up for ground control coil overs?

Also who here is running KW's and what do you have to say? Do they require camber plates up top or is that included?

    Thanks for the input!

I had KWs v1 on my e90 and I have Ground Control on my e30.

I would definitely go with ground control on your e30 really worth it, all they guys that work for the company have at least one e30, all running GC

I run 550 in the front and 750 in the back if I remember correctly .

iirc 450/650 is a very common starting point for a street driven car..

like mentioned, an aggressive set up will be 500 ish, and 700 ish rears....I will use that but its for a street driven 90% track car......but i would say that can be a bit much for a car often on the streets....
I love sitting down and just driving!

KWs leak like crazy once they get some miles on them. Ground Controls are your best bet, in my opinion

If you are considering Variant 2s, then also consider AST.

With that said, if you are stancing the car with the occasional canyon, then GC will be more than enough.

no first experience with KW's, so I'll keep what I've heard to myself, but I will say that the GC setups are fantastic.

My second car only has the GC race camber plates, but compared to the plates I had before it is night and day.

GC v KW? GC all day long, especially on sundays.

If you've got the budget for KW's, you should consider AST's, especially the 42xx series.

This... I helped put on some KWs. They did not look worth the price. Plus they did not hold up as noted above.
GC are great bang for your buck but as noted if you want to spend the $$$ for KW their are better brands in the price range
