    Raising the rear.

Instead of rubber pads use steel plate with a hole in the middle. Make them like big washers. As to who gives a F**K about the wheel/spring rate, how many people think their E30.s are sprung stiffer at the rear than the front. Almost every RWD sedan I know of is sprung stiffer at the front. An E30 with 400# rear springs has an effective rear rate of about 250#.

And Bilsteins have A LOT of compression dampening. I never recommend them.
So what do you think is a good matching shock to go with the IE stage 3s?

running IE stg3/konis doubled up on spring pads in the rear with 225/50/15s on 15x7 wheels and i have no rubbing issues. if you consistently have passengers in your car it might get a bit annoying for them, but its fine for the driver as a DD

As time went on, the factory developed the car each year, making it faster, more comfortable, and capable of handling at higher speeds.
You don’t want this. You want the trickiest, most dangerous, oldest model you can find. Only then can you prove to the world that you’re a man.

I've got IE Stage 3s with custom-valved B-Sports (the valving specs were done to reflect using H&R Race springs which are very close to the IE springs). My car is a DD and it saw three days at the track last year. I personally don't find the ride quality to be too punishing.....and some folks who have ridden in it have told me its too rough or just fine. Mind you I still have stock sway bars in place and I plan to install IE adjustable sways so this will tighten things up a bit more. I do not have any spring pads in back and the result is a "loaded trunk" look but this is because my car is a '91 with the lower rear wheel arches and it sits pretty level. I am thinking about picking up some spring pads for the back to get a little bit of rake to the profile. Other than that, I'm pretty happy with it.
