i actually do like hte feel of the manual rack on the turn in, but i have to pull the wheel back when exiting the turn, thats myproblem with it. I know others who remove the ps from the ps racks the wheel snaps back when you let go of the wheel mid turn, correct?
Wheni let go of hte wheel mid turn, it will turn back a little but i gota pull it over the rest of the way.

That sounds like a problem with your rack. Manual steering should center just like power steering, if anything it centers more rapidly.

I can't imagine ripped boot would cause that. The boots are there to protect the rack.

However...if they've been ripped for a long time, and shit's in there - that's a different story.

So...I guess they could?
