Installing Koni Adjustable shocks in front strut tube

I have a few quick questions here. One I think I found the answer in my search but wanted to confirm. The other two I dont see.

I have the yellow koni adjustables for the front. Here are my questions.

    1) I use a stock gland nut to install (I think I found that but wanted to confirm)

    2) Do I use the OEM bump stops from the stock shocks, the koni's didnt come with any.

    3) Do I need to put any oil in the strut tube with the Koni's?

    4) There is not shock boot for the Koni's, do I need one?

    Thanks!

From my experience installing them this past spring..

      1) Use the one that came with the Koni's

      2) I used the OEM bump stop but cut an inch or so off of them. I was nervous about bottoming out so I did this just to be sure

      3) No oil needed

      4) Same as above, I didn't use them only because I only drive my E30 on weekends and in good weather. No winter or heavy water / rain driving / dirt roads, etc...

I've got some new Koni Yellows in their boxes on my shelf, and they didn't come with a new gland nut. I'd just reused the OEM ones.

Oil is normally added to aid in cooling of the shock. I've been told to use ATF in the past. It probably wont matter if you aren't thrashing the car for extended periods.

Boots aren't required, but they do help prevent dirt and dust from wearing out the seals.

          Just my 2c.

I used the stock gland nut, and a little ATF, didn't use bump stops or boots, mostly because I didn't have any and people said it wasn't an issue. I probably would have if I had them.
