    I need to go LOW

Im looking for new springs and was looking at suspension techniques 60mm/40mm springs. I contacted them and apparently they dont carry them anymore. SO im looking for some STIFF springs that have a pretty large drop. I mean at least so there is no fender gap in the front with the basketweaves and 205/60's. thanks for the help.

Did you ask them about their 60/60mm drop? How much do you want to spend?

yeah they said 50mm/50mm was the lowest they had. Plus I havent really heard too much about them so i dont know how stiff they will be or what not. I am willing to spend under $300.

To go as low as you want and have stiff enough springs to not bottom out on everything you'll need coilovers.

Yeh. haha. just for springs. i want to get coilovers but they arent in the budget at this point in time. I was looking at the intrax springs on backtrail69's car. has anyone tried or heard of these?? i think they are low enough based on their site. they advertise a 2.2"/1.5" drop for the '91 318is. anyone know who orders these is california?

You really need coils. My car isn't stiff at all.

I am not sure, probably in between H&R sport and Eibachs...I got the springs from 4ce30 to use till I get my own coilovers.

I would get a set of IE3 with bekker drop hats. That would be stiff enough and put you in the lowering range you want. A good set of bilstein sports or Konis is a MUST.

i have bilstein sports and the bts springs but i hate em. is it hard to get the drop hats on? i want to get just the springs but if you think the intrax springs are not a good deal then i might try the drop hats.

I have never installed them personally but I have heard there is minor grinding on the outsides to clear the strut towers (super easy), but It just bolts on top the spring on the strut. http://www.bekkers.com/Merchant2/mer...=blssuspension

I think those mixed with a stiffer spring like the IE3 it would be a nice low setup, but still stiff without dealing with coil overs.
