    Hub adapter problem

I have a Sparco hub adapter for my Momo wheel. Ever since I bought the car, the wheel has had a loose wobble to it.

I've taken off the hub and saw a bunch of washers on the column used as spacers. But no matter how many washer I put on and how tight I get the nut, the dam hub wobbles around. It looks like there's actually too much space between the splines on the column and the hub's splines.

    Anyone else had this problem?

I was thinking about replacing it with maybe a Momo, and probably like to get a quality quick-disconnect. Any suggestions?

So you are saying the spline on column is a different size then the wheel adapter? That doesn't sound safe. I'm guessing the wrong adapter for the car?

That sounds like an incorrect or mis-machined adapter. The Sparco adapter I have doesn't wobble on the splines at all.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

Use bigger washers and put them against the hub adapter rather than against the splines. I had the same issue. The hub adapter isnt thick enough. You basically tighten the washers down against the splines rather than the hub adapter.

Whats the difference between MOMO and Sparco adapters?

I was up above it, Now I'm down in it ~ Entropy - A Build thread.

No. There are two ways to install the momo adapter

Tighten washers down onto steering shaft splines = wobbly.

Use a couple larger (M20 maybe?) washers so that they tighten down onto the adapter and NOT the splines = awesome.
