Vogtland Vs. H&R Sport for a Daily Driver, Help Me Decide!

So I've finally narrowed it down to these two springs. I have an '88 iS and it's my daily driver so I don't want it super stiff or low. I'd like it a little lower than Sports so that's why I'm considering the Vogtland. Give me your opinions!

Vogtlands are perfect for a DD. They give a perfect (streetable) ride height and stance. They are a bit stiffer than the H&R sports as well.

I have Vogtlands on my black car with Koni's and I love the setup. That car drives great. My white car has H&R Sports with Bilsteins, and I am seriously considering swapping them out for the Vogtlands. Just because the black car handles that much better, without sacrificing any comfort. Not to mention the Sports ride to high.

    That's my opinion anyway.

That's exactly what I was looking for. Thanks for your help. BTW, do you have any pics of your setup?

I haven't ridden in a Vogtland car but the H&R sports/Bilstein sports combo in the IS car we bought is awesome for DD. They're firmer than stock but not ridiculous. I'm 36 now, I can't stand a rough ride in a DD.

I know what you mean. I'm 27 and I'm not looking for a race car. I just want something that sits lower but still has some stiffness. I just want it a bit lower than the Sports, that's why I'm looking into the Vogtland. The difference in price isn't in the equation at all. I'd happily pay a little more for a better ride.

So I've decided to go with Vogtland. I think it's exactly what I'm looking for. Thanks for everyone's input.

I am terrible at taking pictures, so all of the vehicles look like they have ridiculous tire gap. Ha oh well.. Here are my vehicles--

'86 325e with the Vogtlands & Koni's (this car was the donor for my black car)--

'87eS; disassembled quite a bit at that point. The lip of the Zender airdam is now about 2 1/4" off the ground--

'85 323i with H&R's and same wheels for comparison--

You can get them on eBay. I cant remember the price, but it was excellent iirc. I think it was $180 for the set. They are also TUV approved.

I just ordered mine today from purems.com. They were $185 plus 14 to ship, plus I had to pay tax since they're in Cali.

Also, bavauto.com's having a sale on Bilstein shocks and struts and I got all 4 Sports for $365 shipped. that's the cheapest I've found anywhere.

Thanks for getting those pics on here. All the cars have good stances for daily drivers.

By the way, what's TUV approved? Thanks again!

TUV is like a saftety and standards testing institute. They test new products that are going out into the market. I believe they are based in Germany. They are sort of a German equivilant to our UL. At least that is my understanding..

Yeah, I want to try a slammed car next. If I get another E30 it will be a henna rat-rod, because I think that would be neat to build.

But I've had too many E30's, its time for a Porsche.

What are the differences in rates between these votglands and H&R Race. I imagine the H&Rs dont sit as low, but what gives out more performance?
