Does anyone know anything about these?

Someone showed this coilover kit to me and I don't know anything about them and wandered if anyone around here has any experience with them? Seems a little cheap to me but may work for street use.

Looks cheap, and those spring rates are quite soft..

That kind of set would be easy to do by yourself...

I installed a set of these on a Rabbit a few years back. The sleeves and adjusters are actually quite nice. Clear anodized aluminum with a Delrin lower perch. They have a similar set screw locking adjuster to the GC's . They are almost good as Ground control sleeves.

Typical cheesy bag of O-rings to fill the gap between the strut tube and the one size fits all sleeve, but that isnt an issue If you fab up your own perches. The spring rates included in the kit were a little high so I replaced them a few months later with eibach 2.5" ID race springs in the rates I wanted.

The springs in the kit were well....springs. Being a coil of tempered steel there really isnt anything to go wrong with them. The upper perch seemed well made but wouldnt fit the large bilstein sport shafts on the rabbit so I made my own.

I guess what I am saying is that while I dont have experience with the E30 setup, the quality of the Cosmo kit was actually pretty nice. Nice enough that I have been contemplating swapping out my IE3's for a set on my E30.

Oh yeah one more thing. When I contacted them a year later for spare parts they were happy to supply me with only what I needed at a very reasonable price. So decent customer service as well.

There is a Dirt oval/sprint car swap meet in cottage grove oregon every now and then. It is a great place to pick up oddball things like suspension grade heim joints, race springs, supertrapp spark arrestors...ect.

I just take a dial caliper with me and work out the spring rates with a calculator.

Hypercoil is a good source for coilover springs.
