Any way to go lower in the front with IE III springs?

    I don't have reverse rake, I just want to close the fender gap in the front a little more.

    Will doing this largely affect the performance of my front shocks (Konis)? I still want to be able to auto-x effectively.

      i HAD the bekkers ones for awhile, but never ran them. i sold them to BMRACER19 with the dumped mtech2 cabby, and with standard length shocks and a 70/50 kit he blew the shocks pretty damn fast. he had to switch over to the short body konis and ended up shortening the housings as well in combination with the bekkers drop hats, which is why is cabby is the lowest e30 i have ever seen...hehe

        I can almost notice a difference in handling, more from the weight transfer to the front of the car than anything else. I have IE3's and Billy sports and I dont hit the bumpstops anymore than I did before the drop hats.

          Josh, switch to H&R race, your front will come down, and you dont have to ghetto rig anything. Get them, and stfu. :)

                I also have the same problem. No reverse rake but I want to kill another 1/2" off the IE3's. If it does not work out I can always add a spring pad back on to bring it back to where it is now,

                  ok

                  Got them a week ago from Ditchdigger who did a great job on them. After about a week finally settled. It's a bit tight over the harder dips but over normal bumps does fine.

                    I was going to hit you up because I found some beautiful wheels on eBay, but they were sold by the time I saw them. Went for a steal too :(

                          My fronts are already rolled pretty flat, but I think I might actually roll them again and try to pull them out some.

                          I'm considering selling the IE3's this winter and getting coilovers.

                            Vorshalg CC plates will give you some lowering and not compromise your travel. Hard to beat. Of course, that's not really a cheap option, but if you're looking to buy plates anyway, it's the way to go.

                              I'm one of those, performance over looks kind of people.
                              By no means does the IE3 drop look bad, nor am I able to define the difference with IE3's and H&R Race, but whatever the case, the balance that the IE3's have provided, is closer to a 50/50 weight distribution (about 100 lbs difference, front to back) and the car has noticeably handled better on street and autocrosses.

                              Why move away from a ride height that is pretty much as close to being "right" when it will cost you more time and money to manipulate it a mere cm?
                              Why not spend it on more important things like rear alignments or improved steering characteristics first?

                                I agree with xLibelle, if its workin for you and you enjoy its responsiveness and handling, then just turn a blind eye to it.
