i don't want to slam it, but i want to be able to raise it up for winter. I know the rear will work, but whatt about the front. Someone has to know if it can be done. I honestly don't see how it wouldn't work but i'd like a definite yes or no.

the strut bearings and upper spring hat on the ix are completely different. you'd need a custom strut bearing or figure out how to use the GC kit with ix konis. -

btw, there is an ix on campus that is lowered on RD springs that is absoulutely slammed. I talked to the kid, its his dads car and has custom valved bilsteins but he is having suspensions issues and they can't figure it out. might be too low, but it looks sick, i'll have to snap a picture of it. its an 88.

I am sure you can do it, just measure the OD of your strut housings and give GC a call. If they don't have the right size collars they will send you oversized ones with O-Rings to fill the gaps. GC does this all the time, when I did my brothers civic GC sent all kinds if O-Rings to use, I guess Honda struts come in a wide variety of sizes. As for camber plates, take some measurements and talk to GC, worst case they send you plates from another car and you drill some holes. I dont know the ID or length of the shock housing on IX's, but I bet the ID is the same as 325i, if that is true short Koni's and a spacer should make them fit. This stuff isn't rocket science, take some measurements and talk to GC.
If I were you I would be more worried about blowing out axles because of the extreme angles when slammed.

OTS Bilsteins don't do that well with extremely low springs. When my car is on the ground, there is only like 1" of travel on my Bilsteins.
