Planning for some rear subframe work, what else should I do?

I'm gearing up to pull the rear subframe this winter and replace anything I end up touching back there.

- Replace all bushings on the rear subframe
- Replace the rear shocks and springs
- Replace the rear wheel bearings
- Replace the open diff with a LSD

I'll also do the front shocks and springs at the same time.

Looking at the parts I'm ordering and the list above, is there anything else I should do while things are apart?

What about camber/toe adjustment? Perfect time to get that welded on.

Wouldn't recommend.
Mainly because over time, dirt will get between the braided cable and the rubber hose and wear away at it.

What about camber/toe adjustment? Perfect time to get that welded on.

I thought about it, but I'm not planning on doing any serious lowering of the car that would warrant needing to adjust the camber/toe.

But this is the best time to do it, so I'll add it onto the list.

Thanks, I did that a few years ago for the lines that run to the calipers.

The inner set of rubber brake lines. The ones you can't get to without dropping the subframe or using crows foot wrenches.

Also check your parking brakes and parking brake cables.
if you don't have the rsm reinforcement plates....

Most SS likes you can buy anymore are plastic coated to prevent this problem. A lot of them are even DOT approved, which you never see in aftermarket parts.

take a look at the rear brake line pipe that comes from the master cylinder to this splitter (just above the rear diff), from there it heads to the rear brake calipers. You will want to replace those rubber brake lines up there but also this splitter may look nasty line mine in the picture.
