    Wheel Size

I was just wondering what size SSR Competition wheels are the best for over all performance on autocross on a 318iS?

Probably a 15x7 with 205/55 for the lowest possible unsprung weight.

15x7 for sure, but 205/50 if you want to run street tires (Azenis Sports) or 225/50 if you want R-compounds.

the 15s have lower mass and thus allow faster acceleration & (slightly) better braking... every .001 second counts!

            Wrong.

Best tire choice for R-Comps is 225/45/15. Gain gearing too. Of course this is track dependent.

i know about the 15x7 but would a 16x7.5 be to large, for just normal use and maybe every once in a while autocross?
also would a 205/55R16 tire fit on that i dont really know if that is enought info for you guys i dont really know that much about tires.

Definitely not. I personally would go for the 16x7.5 myself. The proper sizes would be either 205/50-16 or 225/45.

                    Tire size comparison Link

This link will give you the proper sizing for your tires so your speedo is not off by too much when changing tire sizes.

                    Pretty simple to use.

                    Cheers.

Yeah, good link. But as trent pointed out and I noted with the 205/50 size, undersized tires are generally better for auto-x (shorter gearing).

Well, are you just looking for track wheels?

I'd also take a hard look at the Team Dynamics Pro Race series, those 2 wheels are the right offset (won't need spacers like the SSRs) and are still really light.
