I think they look hawt - erick's and mario's car. And although I want some Euro weaves to street drive and my Type Cs will make good track wheels for now. I'd like to replace them with some Koseis when I burn up the ES100s. For sure. Good, cheap, and light wheels.

I have mixed feelings about those wheels on that car. they dont look too bad, but on the other hand they kinda look too skinny for the car. IMO

I bought my K1's from Rob to just use as track wheels. I don't think they are that great looking but I could give a crap if they lower my times!

Funny thing is I weighed both sets of my wheels since my T-stars are supposed to be soooo damn heavy. 15" K1 with Falken Azenis - 37lbs, 16" T-star with 225 pilot sport - 41lbs. A whole wopping 4 pounds difference.

Think of it as 16lbs of unsprung wieght rather than 4 lbs.

Yup. That's the thing. My "heavy ass" 21lb Type T wheels were only 43lbs with 205/50/16 on them. And stock basketweaves and tires are about 34lbs, and my Type Cs were about 38.5lbs per corner just now. If I was smarter than I was a while ago, I'd have kept the Ts for Track/Auto-X as wouldn't make a big difference at this point, and buy some euro weaves for the street. And now, I don't think I'll be to the point where 6lbs of unsprung weight will matter so I might not sell the Type Cs for K1s for a long time.....

. wait, are there 205/50-15's on those K1s???

Anyway, ^^ hes right on, that's 16lbs unsprung weight and someone said it matters a lot more so multiply by 4, so like 64lbs or something.

I know, I just figured they would be more of a difference since I was told the K1's are 11lbs and the t-stars are supposed to be about 22lbs without tires.

I thought there was a bad source on that and its really like around 15lbs. Or maybe 14 something. But maybe the more air on the smaller rim, the taller rubber (if its not 205/50....), whatever.....could help even up the wheels. Dunno.

tirerack says 14.5lbs for a 15" kosei, 16x7.5" is 15lbs. 16x7 SSR comps are 11lbs, maybe people are confusing the two. it's still a light wheel for the price, most wheels under $300 each are 20lbs or more!

It's all in the tires. The RT-215 Azenis Sports are just about the heaviest street tires you can find, hence the super-stiff sidewalls.

Damn, those are pretty damn heavy if they are 205/50 (just confimed what I was thinking, that's the only 15" size for the tire)

Oh well. Should be a fun setup none the less. Undersized Azenis and Koseis.....

Yes, they are 205/50's. I wish I could get a 225 or even 215, but as you said, that's the only 15 they make. I'll find out Sunday how they do, first auto-x of the season.

Well, the 225/50/15 RT-615 should be shipping very soon. Look forward to replacing your current set.

I think they look pretty good on e30 M3's. I havent seen them in person on any other e30's. Its a good bang for the buck wheel thats for sure. Definetly a better looking wheel as the size increases.
