    Good 16x7 or 16x7.5 wheels for E30?

A buddy of mine is doing a full restoration of his 87 325e. Estoril paint job and all, the works. He's going to be needing some wheels. I saw an E30 with 16x7.5" Throwing Star replica wheels (the wheels the E34 M5s came with), but apprently they are not made anymore.

My buddy needs some recommendations for wheels, and places to buy them! They must be 16x7 or 16x7.5" 4x100 of course. I've searched around on Tire Rack but the wheels they have are 38mm offset and the E30 is more like 20-25 I thought. Please help!

Where did you guys buy your wheels?

    Henry

Ooh I also forgot, we are working on a budget here. Rims can't be more than $800 for the set. Replicas are fine too!

If he wants throwing stars there are actually two sets for sale on this forum at the moment, good timing.

Other than that higher offset wheels are no problem if you use high quality hubcentric spacers and bolts (or even convert to studs) such as H&R or Eibach.

And I'll ship mine, and those are most likely more expensive than mine.

Just to let you know. ;)

Yeah, I suppose with as much work went into those wheels, and their current condition that they would command a premium price. Just remember, you get what you pay for, and you pay for what you get. I would talk him into shipping those wheels to you and pay what they're worth. ;)
