    225/50/15 suggestions?

I just picked up a set of wheels and am wodnering what you guys reccomend in a 225/50/15 tire. I am not looking to spend a ton of money but I don't want a shit tire either. If you know of any specials anywhere, let me know.

For $83, I would say they're damn good quality. Matt already found tires, so this thread doesn't need to continue...unless you want to start up an online brawl over the quality of ES100s

hey, I just think they are crap tires, that's all. I personally would not encourage somebody to buy a set on behalf of my own conscience. he was asking for opinions, so I gave mine.

they wear out fast, they aren't nearly as grippy as everyone raves about, they're awful at hydroplane resistance, especially as they age; they're just plain average. I actually liked my previous toyo all seasons better. but all you kids keep buying them anyway.. because they're CHEAP. but hey it's your money.

about the best thing I can say about them is that they don't suck much more in the wet than they do in the dry, so you feel like they grip really well in the wet...

um... im thorougly dissapointed in my es100's. they were "ok" for street, they wore too fast though, and one 2-day track event totally destroyed them, when i had my tires rebalanced at goodyear on a rainy day, the dude asked me if i was gonna be ok driving home on slicks. granted it was only the insides (which i had flipped to the other side) but still, these are; cheap, sticky, and shitty ass fucking poopdick wear rating. they blow and i'll never own another set.

I'm running mine for the street and they are good at that. Besides treadwear.

I got 205.50 Azenis on the way soon enough. Then 225/50 Azenis. Then used Hoo-Hoos.

But I can't complain about ES100s on the street. I like them in the rain. Of course, I've only had a few thousand miles on each set.
