    Tires for euro weaves...

Looking for a decent set of tires that will fit euro weaves.

Found a local set of tires:
Goodyear Eagle LS 195/65HR-15 for $180.

Seems a bit oversized, but ok to run....anyone?

What are some good 15's and sizes to run? I read a few posts about the 205/50 Azenis but can't really find them used...

195s? That seems a bit stretched, I'd say. Find a picture of my car, I have 225/50 on Euroweaves. A bit meaty, but still fits fine.

I know I'd rather end up with 225's, but they seem to be hard to find. I'll keep looking...

Are the Falken Ziex's ok? They seem pretty cheap...

i'm happy with mine, especially for the price. not as cheap as what you found locally, but is an extra inch of section width, less sidewall, and correct speedo reading worth it? i think so.

compared to the 205/55-15s i had on before i'm getting an extra 5-10mph through all my favorite freeway interchanges, while feeling like i'm farther from the edge of the envelope.

Excellent, so you have Ziex's on 15's? Not euroweaves by any chance are they? :)

What size tire are you running? How is the wet weather preformance? I can't stand sticky grippy tires that turn into slicks in the rain....I'd rather take a hit in performance and get a separate set of track tires when the time comes. I just need some daily tires that I don't have to stay home in the rain for...

The Falken ZE-512s are excellent street tires, and get 225's.

actually no, they're Team Dynamics Pro Race 1's, but they're 15x7 et25, which i _think_ is the same dimensions as the euro weaves? someone who actually has the euros, correct me if i'm wrong please.

no they dont just read wrong for no reason. if your overall rim and tire diameter is too small your speedo will show that you are going faster than you really are. how much i dont know. if you have rims/tires that are larger in diameter your speedo will show a slower speed than your really traveling.

eagle ls's are junk, dont buy them, i work for goodyear! i also just got a set of euro baskets, and i plan to wrap them in 195 50 15 eagle f1 gsd3's, same tires on vettes... woo, dont flame me!

however the size you are looking at will NOT work! stock these come with 19565 14s with is an overall diameter of 24", now do the math and you will ahve a 25" tire, 15" vs 14" rim. Id suggest a 205 55 15, or 225 50 15 if you want to spend the money
