I have nothing to add other than I love the GG compound R888's i'm running on the MINI.
TRM C1 - How wide of tires are you running?

they are 235/50-15 on 7.5s, but they should work with 8's too

wheels are et36, no rubbing with stiff springs and rolled fenders. you just can't run stupid offsets, leave the low offset wheels for the stretch/europoke hard-parking stance crowd. there's a 3mm spacer up front to clear the brakes, these wheels were on a 325is before I got them.Comment

225/50 v710s rubbed for me on 15x8 on my early model in the rear (i had to roll the fender lip), i bet the iX fenders have more room :)Mtech1 v8 build thread - https://www.r3vlimited.com/board/sho...d.php?t=413205

nope, less actually because the rear flares go under the fender lip. so mine have been trimmed back inside (plastic parts) and rolled flat, but you could roll them easier and further without the flares. I used a hammer. :D
your offset was probably just too low. Probably ET30 on a std E30 would be perfect.Comment

Nope, this was with the TRM 15x8 c1 wheels :) V710s maybe run wiiide...Mtech1 v8 build thread - https://www.r3vlimited.com/board/sho...d.php?t=413205

r comps always do, but how wide? I measured the R888's at about 250mm at their widest part. I think a 245 street tire could fit without issue, and that's a late model.
I still think the offsets out there are typically too low to run wide tires in the rear. aren't TRMs ET20 or something? stiff springs help too.Comment

I think ive decided to go with these roms as well, through tire rack, but the only non slick non r comp, regular yet performance tires they have are the all-season kumho ast.
too bad the rims dont come in bronze or gold or othr shades like that. i have an alpine 318i and i think gold/bronze would look best. no black cuz i dont think the tuxedo look is all that hot. in my eyes black wheels+trim on a white car is meh.
how much would it cost to powder-coat them bronzeComment

I just mounted my 15x8 TR's a few weekends ago and I've discovered that the wheel barrel hits my strut housings on bumps. The clearance between the two is VERY close... has anyone else experienced this?
I'm thinking I need a 3mm spacer up front... can this be worn wheel bearing??IG: deniso_nsi Leave me feedback here

Nope, full season of autocross last year no issues like that.Mtech1 v8 build thread - https://www.r3vlimited.com/board/sho...d.php?t=413205

You wouldnt happen to have a pic of the clearance handy?
i hadn't considered this but the clearance is exactly the same and i've had the car up on an alignment machine not long ago... didn't see anything funny. going to take a look again though.IG: deniso_nsi Leave me feedback here

I'll have to dig, IIRC about 4-5mm clearance.Mtech1 v8 build thread - https://www.r3vlimited.com/board/sho...d.php?t=413205

I took a few pics, they're not the greatest but it does show how close the wheel barrel is. I'm going to inspect this a bit closer tonight. I picked up some 2mm spacers to remedy the problem.

the only possibilities I can think of:
-those aren't E30 specific fitment (is there another offset available in the 15x8 TRM?)
-your struts are bent
-wheel bearings on edge of failureComment
