TRM C1 - How wide of tires are you running?

Thinking of a change in track wheels. I've got early arches to help avoid rubbing in the rear, but a little worried about the fronts.

Ideally, I want 225/45/15s. Probably R888 or similar. Hoosiers would be really cool.

What has everyone run successfully?

I've run 225/45 hoosiers on Rota slips with the same spec as the 15x8 C1. They fit great and don't rub unless you are extremely low.

I just ordered the 15x8 C1s with some 225/45 Hancook RS3s. Hopefully fitment is fine with no rubbing.

I was considering R-comps, but they were over $200 more. maybe on the next round.

Interested in hearing how these fit. 2002maniac, how low are you? I'll be on H&R race/Bilstein sports and was also looking at the 15x8 and RS3 autocross combination for a late model e30 (1990). Wondering if any fender rolling necessary, spacers to clear the front struts?

no issues with 225 NT01's on the 15x8, have been debating moving to 235 R888s

'91 w/15x8's: 225 50 15, no spacers. Undecided about suspension, so it's not lowered yet and there's still some rubbing in the rear in corners or with tools in the trunk. Things are tight up front strut-wise but no rubbing. Fender rolling definitely going to be required prior to drop.

Yup. For clarity's sake, depending on how low I go it looks like there could be issues in BOTH front and rear.

You probably won't rub, I am running kumho v710 225/50/15 on 15x8 trm c1s and had to roll rear fender lips on the inside as they were kissing the tire when cornering (550/675gc coils). I am not tucking or anything, but not 4x4 either. My dd tire is 225/45 on 16x7.5 hartge wheels and they didn't rub on the same car/suspension..

They'll be a perfect fit. Those tires are great too, but expensive just to go burn up. Used ra1's-r888's,victo's, are out there, just have to look. GRM/lemons/speedhunters/timeattack forums.

Would the fit be better in the back with a higher or lower offset? I'm getting spacers made for some +36 15x8's

225/45/15 fit great on my early body. I've even got a 5mm spacer on the rears.

225/50, they will rub the rear during hard cornering.
