    fitting 17x8 on an ix

i think i might order a set of these

they are custom so i can choose my offset. I want to have a little bit of dish thats why i went with the 8 instead of the 7.5. My question is, what offset should i go with. my oz's are et 38 i think and are pretty close to the strut housing and they aren't as wide. I am not real worried about hitting the fenders because i plan on going with a stiffer suspension, but buying a custom wheel then hitting the strust housing would be terrible.

I'm thinking around ET35 would be about right, but you'll have to roll your rear fenders. shouldn't hit the strut either. ET38 might work also but you might rub on the struts. those would look pretty mean too, they'd really fill in those flares.

yeah i have to be exact because i would be so pissed to have the wrong offset. I really think they will look awesome on my car, w/ or w/o the gts kit.

Those rims are amazing, I have been eyeing them since I saw them on an S2000 in Super Street. What is the pricing like on them?

1646 if you want them polished, i am getting gunmetal which is more (custom color).

          they are cheaper in 16.

it looks like i'll have about 2 inches of lip on my ix w/ 17x8.

dave, I don't think ET35 is enough. figuring that your wheels are 1" or 25.4mm wider, and assuming you want your tires close to the fenders without rubbing them, I think ET 38 would be the minimum you will want to go. I'm going by my 15x7 et24 wheels which come right up to the fenders on stock sized tires, and adding 1/2 the extra width (25.4mm) to my offset to make the lips in about the same place (36.7mm). then you gotta figure some room for wider tires, unless you plan on stretching a 205 tire on those rims.

You're definitely going to want to roll the rear fenders, but you shouldn't have to worry much about fender clearance in the front, just strut clearance. you could run lower offset up front, but the ix already has more front track than rear track so I'm not sure how great of an idea that is.

hmm i am okay with rolling and i will run 215's just like i have now. I dont need 225's, and there are no options for that size in 17 really. I want them to be pretty wide (stance wise). 3mm's isn't that much so we'll see what jline comes up with.

Hey Dave, I priced those rims on their web site and they are $1820 for 17x8" polished? Did they quote you cheaper than what the web site says? Because even the 16's are in the mid $1600 range.
