anything lighter than the enkei rfp1 in 15x7?

im not a huge fan of the +35 offset that the enkei rfp1 comes with in 15x7 4x100. but they are 9.8lbs and $179 @ goodwin racing right now. also not a huge fan of putting japanese rims on a german car. even though i am a huuuge fan of this rim.

i hate kosei k1s. im looking for new rims for ix. not opposed to 16" rims as long as they are around 12lbs.

im lookin to run a 215 tire all around.

ET35 will work fine for an ix

but what kind of 215's can you get in a 15" size that are OEM diameter? I'd think 225/50s would be better, no?

ideally $600. the rpf1s are already over that.

but i could spend a good bit ($1500...?) if you happen to show me a good looking rim that weighs 10lbs and the offset is between 25 and 35.

tr c1 in 15x7 is around 13.1lbs. they are et30 though. but ehh...

offset too low for the ix and anything wider than a 205, and even that will rub with H&R sports.

the 949 6UL's are about 11lbs but I think they bumped the offset higher in the 15x7 to ET42

There aren't many options in that range BBS had a set of 15x7 RGF on clearance last week but it looks like someone snatched them up already.

                  forgot about 949 racing.

                  their 15x7 is +36, 11.3lbs. 15x7.5, +36, 11.4lbs. and 15x8, +36, 12.3lbs.

i think 15x7.5 is a solid option. decent looking rim too.

                  open to more options though.

i wanted 215s, because i am going to be using this car as a DDer. driving about 70 miles a day. wider tires = worse mpg.

i might even go back to 205s.

I just don't think there are really any decent tires in a 215. 205 or 225 are much more common sizes.

I'd imagine not having your tires properly inflated would make a bigger difference in mpg than running a 225/50 over a 215 or 205, not to mention, still the most important factor is likely to be the compound.

I am about to purchase a set of these in 15x8 for autox, but the 15x7's are light! 11.3 lbs! It does have the +36 offset, but I feel a great option compared to the RPF1 for cost/weight comparison.

yeah, i hear you. a set of 6ul weighs 6lbs more than the enkei rpf1, but at $200 cheaper a set it definitely compares.

and i think they'll look better on e30s than the enkei rpf1.
