the other day i did a power slide in the rain, in 3rd gear.Originally posted by permitI don't know your engine...but assuming you have an M42...you don't have enough power to break traction on slicks in the rain.Originally posted by Stu McI've ran my 318 with 2 sets of ES100's in 225/50/15...I've never had any issues with wet/standing water conditions.Comment

I think stu has more than enough power to break traction.. and no he doesn't have an M42. ;)Comment

I am almost convinced that these will be my choice, I have been reading about all the tires over the weekend and they seem to be the right choice for me.Originally posted by MystikalUm, do you even know what tire you're talking about?Originally posted by rwdriftUntil you hit the puddle of water.Originally posted by permitYeah, also a whole lot better than ES100s.Originally posted by rwh11385falken ziex 512s vulcantire.com

I just replaced my Yoko AVS ES 100s with a set of BF Goodrich G-Force Sports. I highly recommend these tires. They have the same response, slightly high overall grip, are amazingly quiet in comparison, and the downright scary tendency of my car to tramline has vanished entirely. Tirerack has them for $81/ea + 38.88 for road hazard for all 4.

I did the same switch recently. Went from 205/50-16 ES100s to g-Force Sports in the same size. They are a far better tire. My front sway bar isn't connected so I haven't been able to fully test the traction, but I would say already dry traction is better than the Yoko's and they are far quieter. I did not notice any reduction in sidewall stiffness, what I was fearing most about the BFG's.Originally posted by TangentI just replaced my Yoko AVS ES 100s with a set of BF Goodrich G-Force Sports. After being on 195s Azenis, 205 ES100s suck. I look forward to some 225/50 Ziex 512s whenever.
They were just the forum craze as they were cheap and we said they were sticky.
Hear good things about Hankook RS2s and now BFG G sport. Anyone buying ES100s still.....what's wrong with ya.Comment

I just switched over to BF-Goodrich G-Force Sports this past weekend. I haven't had a chance to really test them out, but from what I see they are wonderful. I don't condsider them tested till I run Deals Gap in NC though. I moved from Dunlop SP-Sport 8000's which were also very good, but with a quicker tread wear rating. So far all I've noticed is that the goodriches are softer going over speed bumps than my dunlops, so that may mean they have a softer sidewall, and that wet traction seems excellent, better than my dunlops (a lot of rain here in TN the past few days).
Don't forget, discounttiredirect.com has free shipping on all their tires right now and they are the same price @ $81/tire as tirerack (sadly I didn't realize this till after I bought them from tirerack).Comment

thanks for the info, I have a discount tire right by me but their price is 10$ more per tire in store, so I will order them online.
