16x9 fitment

Kinda wish I bought these before you. Oh well. Still have a set.... or we can trade and you can run 16x7.5 up front and give me two of the 16x9s.... that way you wont have to run spacers or stretch the fenders like crazy.

I don't wanna get rid of my 16x9's I am looking for a couple extras actually.

Staggered looks horrible imo especially when you have a nice deep dish...

M50 is good man. I may pick yours up if I can't find any other 16x9's. Hows the m42 rebuild? If you need any help let me know...

It's good. Shop will be done it this week. Also have my skidplate and sparco evo2 in as well. New wheels should be in this week as well(16x9 et15). Ordering the rest of what i need tomorrow once I get the specs from the shop. Hopefully going back together starting next weekend. This upcoming week should be a good week.

and I forget, ordering my GC conversion kit too.

Hey, what suspension are you running? I just went 5-lug in the rear to run a 16x9 et20 wheel, and from the test mount i thought i was gonna poke. I'm glad you put pictures up so i didnt exchange them!

Also, how much did you have to roll the fenders in the rear? or is that un-rolled?

H&R Race springs on bilstien sports. No fender rolled at all no spacer in the rear neither. Up front will be a challenge as I don't wanna poke out to far ( looks weird to me). So whatever smallest spacer will work I'm gonna use then just get the back spaced out to match... I don't think I need the fenders rolled. Seems to clear fine only thing that rubbed was the shock housing... now I have to actually drive the car with all 4 wheels mounted to be 100%

That's interesting cuz on my 89 very with the same setup the 16x9 poked half an inch and the 16x7.5 rubbed. I am e36 318ti in the rear though.

edit: nevermind, i'm an asshole. it had a tiny bit of rubbing so a mild fender roll cured it. totally forgot about that

I am also on coupe h&r race, so maybe a little sag cuz a vert is heavier? And I was running 205-45-16 on a 16x7.5 wheel and it rubbed. A mild roll should cure it though.

For the fronts you'll probably need a 5mm spacer to clear the strut housing. The rears you'll want to roll a little or else you may scrape on driveways. You can get away with tapping it with a delrin malled and a heat gun. I'd also recomment removing the rear spring pad and running e90 front hats. 215/40's create a lot of wheel gap.

Both sets of wheels were et20. I returned the 16x9 wheels and am not running 16x7.5 et20 with 205-45-16 and the fronts look like they will fit perfect without a spacer or a roll because im on e36m3 front stuff.

I might also have been rubbing a little because i had a tool box, floor jack, stands, and a bunch of random heavy parts in my trunk.

yea my trunk is empty besides factory toolkit, jack and lug nut wrench... so maybe that is why yours rubbed.
