    G-force sport on Ronal LS

Can i put on a 225/50-15 without rubbing (fender or strut) on a car with H&Rs? They also some in 215/55-15, which is recomended by Ronal.

It looks negative. The G-Force's run particularly wide in 225/50/15, 0.3" wider than the ES100's (the tire most people run 225 with Ronals). The ES100's are already VERY close to the strut. I know for a fact that S-03's, which are just 0.1" wider than the G-Force's in that size, don't work. If you want to play it safe, get 215's. And FWIW, 215/50/15 G-Force's are exactly as wide as 225/50/15 ES100's (so you're not sacrificing any traction, really).

And yes, it is damn scary all this info is stored in my head. I think about wheels and tires before I go to sleep, every night.

      Ronal LS's are et25 right?

My wheels are 15x7 et25 and I'm running 225/50 g-force sports. No rubbing whatsoever with that setup. I could tell you for sure if the extra 1/4" would bring the tire in too close to the struts.

If I were you, I'd go for the 225/50s, and if anything you can run tiny spacers up front.

Well after some more research, G-force Sports do not come in 215-55, but they do come in 215-50 which i think is actualy a little bit closer to the actual stock tire diameter. If anything, my speedo may read a little bit high. i think i will go with the 215's. Ronal offered 4 tires plus mount & balance for $450, plus the LS wheels at $600. not too bad, but other online places have the tires for only $77 a piece. where to buy...

get the packaged deal with the 215/50 tires, having tires mounted that you bought online can be a pain in the ass and it may end up costing you more.

Even 3mm spacers can push the wheels too far off the hub, and lead to vibrations at certain speeds (speaking from experience).

Someone told me their G-froce sports wore faster than they were expecting, and they recomended the toyo proxes T1R or T1S. any thoughts on these?

However longer the T1 family lasts you pay for upfront with the higher sticker price.

That said, both Toyos are quite a bit better in the wet.

The reviews of the G-force Sport on Tire Rack lead me to believe the tire wear would be relatively good. They have a rating of 340. I just know they will last longer than my ES100s did (280 treadwear).

Throw caution to the wind though, most tire people say comparing treadwear ratings between companies is useless, it's only accurate relative to other tires from the same company. That said, if they last almost twice as long as KD's you're peachy. Only one guy complained about getting 14k out of a set, but from the review he drives like a maniac 24/7 (believe he's a Mini owner, can't remember).

Haha, that's so sad. I got at least 13k out of Azenis Sports last year, including auto-x every month. :P
