Jim, I'm getting my Hartge wheels back on Thursday! All thanks to Brian.
That's very cool Matt, post up some pictures here so we can check them out if you like. That is a great deal, I am happy with the BBS wheels I had him help me with. Did he ever get you the brake fluid? Next time he is down I will toss the 4.10 diff in his trunk if you still want it.
We got some parts and pieces back today. Here are some pics.
The nuts and bolts are also back from the chrome shop and are looking god. I had the SS valve stems polished but they did not come out as good as we had hoped so they are going to the chrome shop for a little plating.
I will let the paint cure for a few weeks to a month before assembly then mounting the tires which are on back order but hopefully will be shipped soon.
Thanks for your comments, we will be assembling the rims in a couple of weeks once the valve stem caps are back from the chrome shop. There was also some minor issues with the wheel caps so they went back to the painter for a second round.
I had a couple of friends come by today. Frank has a set of staggered Hartge 3 piece 4x100's on his Hartge theme Baur car. These were bought brand new back in the day for $2900. Their condition is amazing and they still look new.
Jim it was great hanging out Frank an you today. Looking at Frank's Hartge wheels on the baur I should have never sold to him. Jim can't wait see yours.

Nice job on that Baur. Is it listed on the International Baur Registry yet?
I write a blog dedicated to finding all the Baurs in the US. I would like to add your beauty to our list, if you dont mind. we lsit the cars by Baur plate number to ensure that we have no duplication. We have found quite a few, but we are always finding more.
What engine do you have in this car? I would love to do a post on it... complete with pics, if you have more.
Here is my blog:
Dedicated to the BMW Baur TC1 (E21 1975-83) in particular, and Baur cabriolets in general. We hope to locate and identify all the BMW Baur TC1s in existence in the United States at the present time.
